IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The grass is growing very fast this spring. 
Please remember either cut it or arrange to have it cut.  
Per the Rules and Regulations... If the grass gets too long (over 8 inches) Port Delmarva will have it cut and bill you. The first seasonal event will be $50.00; thereafter, $75.00 each event

II.             Maintaining the Port

A.   Site maintenance and improvements are the responsibility of the tenant.

1.    Tenants are responsible for trimming and lawn mowing of their site out to the street.

a)    If there is an extended absence, the tenant must make arrangement for continued care.

(1)  The Board will take action to correct instances of lack of site maintenance.

(a)  When a Director observes a site with high grass (more than 8 inches high), a contractor will be hired to cut the grass and the leaseholder will be billed for the expense.  The first seasonal event will be $50.00; thereafter, $75.00 each event

The Board of Directors asks that Port Residents DO NOT place any items behind the Pole Barn garage and Pump House buildings. .....  All site improvements must be approved... forms are available in the Hall.

 

Port Friends,
      Well it is almost Memorial Day and we are planning to have a Dinner on Saturday May 27 at  5:30.
We are going to have a Pot Luck for Veggies, Salads and Desserts.  We are planning to provided Chicken
and drinks. The price will be $ 3.00.  There will be a sign up sheet in the hall for everyone to sign up with the
number of people attending and the dish you plan to bring.  If you are not going to be down before Memorial Day 
please let me or Joyce know you are coming and what dish you will bring and we will sign you up.
       We sure hope you can come to enjoy our Pot Luck which all of you bring such delicious food and also to
enjoy the fellowship with all our friends of the Port.
        Hope to see you there to begin our Summer of many Happy Times at Port Delmarva.

Carol S. Bell

AGE: 67 Wilmington, DE

Carol S. Bell, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.

She was born in Baltimore, MD to the late, Marion (Sevier) and Wilson Austin and was a 1964 graduate from Mergenthaler Vo-Tech HS, Baltimore. Carol was a legal secretary for Mr. Mylander in Baltimore. She taught preschool at the former Mt. Lebanon Montessori School in Wilmington. Carol then worked as an administrative assistant at AstraZeneca. She attended Brandywine Valley Baptist Church. Carol was passionate about her commitment to the Christian faith by reading her Bible and attending her weekly bible study.

Carol is survived by her husband of 43 years, John J. Bell; 2 children, Gary A. Bell, of Wilmington and Julie M. Stevenson and her husband James, of Lewes, DE; and much loved grandsons, Lucas and Levi Stevenson.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27, at 12 noon, at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOMES, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington,(Rt 202-south of Silverside Rd), where there will be a viewing from 10am to 12 noon. Burial will be in Lower Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville.
